Aaron Lewis is an American musician and songwriter. He is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and founding member of rock group Staind.
Aaron is the son of Sondra and Theodore Lewis. He was raised partly in New Hampshire, and then Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He is married to Vanessa, with whom he has three children.
Aaron’s paternal grandfather was Gordon Lewis (the son of Edward Arthur “Fred/Ned” Lewis and Jemima Thorne). Gordon was born in Vermont. Edward was born in Wales, the son of Edward Lewis and Margaret. Jemima was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, present-day Newfoundland and Labrador, to English immigrants, Richard Thorne and Mary Short.
Aaron’s paternal grandmother was Elia Pantrini (the daughter of Guiseppe “Joseph” Pantrini and Maria Carolina “Marietta”/”Mary” Pacetti). Elia was born in Vermont, to Italian parents. Giuseppe was the son of D. Pantrini and Giovanna Benzini. Maria was from Fivizzano, Province of Massa and Carrara, and was the daughter of Ettore Pacetti and Beatrice Bettini.
